What inspired you to get involved with AAU?
Cancer has touched my family personally. A cousin battled childhood cancer, and that experience shaped our family’s understanding of how vital it is to support families facing serious illness – not just medically, but spiritually, emotionally, and financially. AAU’s mission to provide hope and support during an unimaginably difficult season deeply resonates with me, and I feel called to help extend that hope to others.
What are you looking forward to most about serving on the AAU board?
I’m most excited to build relationships with the team and the families we serve, and to work collaboratively to expand AAU’s reach. I’m especially passionate about helping grow philanthropic support across the Midwest so we can serve more families and deepen the impact of this incredible organization.
What vacation destination is at the top of your bucket list?
The U.S. Virgin Islands – give me a beach with my family or friends and a little sunshine!
One of your favorite local restaurants?
Stokes!
When you think about your legacy, what is most important to you?
More than anything, I want my son to know how deeply I love being his mom and how much I value family, faith, and friendship. I hope those closest to me feel my love for life and people, and that my example reflects integrity, strong character, and service. If serving our community, our country, and our Lord inspires my son – and future generations – to do the same, that would be the greatest legacy I could leave.
