Megan Holland

Vice President, Distribution and Marketing at Mutual of Omaha

What inspired you to get involved with AAU?
Cancer has touched my family personally over the years. My mom was a huge advocate of helping others and advocating for cancer research, and those going through cancer, all while battling it herself. An organization like AAU would have been something she would have loved to support and be a part of herself. The mission of AAU and their impactful outreach in the community is nothing less than inspiring. My hope is that I can not only help them expand their reach and give back to the local community, but also help to carry on my mom’s legacy as a cancer advocate.

What are you looking forward to most about serving on the AAU board?
I am looking forward to being able to contribute to AAU’s growing and critical mission in the community. The ability to help support such a great cause and help expand their reach and purpose, along with meeting and building relationships within the organization, is a worthwhile cause I’m looking forward to supporting.

What vacation destination is at the top of your bucket list?

Greece, or really anywhere along the Med!

One of your favorite local restaurants?

Memoir has been a great addition to the Old Market!

When you think about your legacy, what is most important to you?

My hope is that I inspired those around me to continue to push to be the best version of themselves. That using your god given talents for the betterment of others, the community, and the world is the best legacy you can leave. That my kids know how much they are loved and how with passion, grit, and hard work they can be anything they want. And that you never know when the smallest gesture can mean the world to someone.
